Adding Style to Your Walls
When we used to talk about putting things on the wall we were thinking of the three ps - paintings, photographs and posters. These days, however when we talk about wall decor we don't just mean those sorts of artwork, it can include sculptures designed to be hung, stick on wall decals, mirrors and more.
Personally I love using posters to bring a room to life as they're cheap and easily attainable - you can frame them or get them block printed so that they don't look like a 'mere' poster. Canvases are also coming down in price and are easily available in a number of cool designs (you can even have your own photographs printed onto canvas) and even blank ones allowing you to tap into your inner artist.

I personally love this following canvas and I'm sure anyone who loves the sea would feel the same way.
I'm seeing a lot of people adding wall decals into a number of rooms - they're certainly not just for children's bedrooms anymore - in fact I saw a great genealogical one which would look great in a home office for anyone who loves tracing their family tree.
Another thing that I'm seeing more and more are different art pieces that can be hung on the wall - my mother has a wrought iron lizard on the wall above her fireplace in her formal lounge and it looks really good because it pulls a couple of other items in her room together. Now technically the lizard was made to be used outdoors, but rule books are made to be thrown out in the name of design!
I will be adding a variety of different things that you can add to your walls to stylize your room on this page, I hope you enjoy my selection (remember if you're after clocks they have their very own page).
